Clunie Lodge is a Victorian
former manse, full of period features with outstanding views of Glen
Clunie and the Grampian Mountains and situated in secluded grounds with
private parking, but only a few minutes stroll to the village
We have five tastefully
decorated bedrooms, with en-suite shower or private bathrooms.
All have colour TV,
hospitality tray, hairdryer, and comprehensive tourist information to
help you make the most of your stay in Braemar and the surrounding area.
Relax and unwind, with a
welcoming cup of tea or coffee after your journey, in the guest lounge
where you will also find magazines and other literature, board games and
a video library for your use.
In the morning, enjoy a
cooked Scottish breakfast made from local produce, served in the
breakfast room overlooking the woods, where the red squirrels and wild
birds will entertain you.
Although peace and tranquillity are assured,
Clunie Lodge is well located for leisure activities, with easy access to
the Linn of Dee,
Balmoral Castle,
Royal Lochnagar distillery
and the village of Crathie.
Red deer and other wildlife await the serious hill
walker, casual rambler or mountain biker and in the winter season, the
ski slopes of
Glenshee
are nearby, with the
Lecht
and
Aviemore within reasonable travelling
distance.
Adventurous golfers will find a challenge at
Braemar's 18 hole
golf course only
five minutes away, with other fine courses to be found at
Ballater,
Aboyne,
and
Banchory.
We have a drying room for
our walkers and skiers, plus secure garaging for those with cycles and
golf clubs
